Being an amateur photographer (or enthusiast, hobbyist or whatever terms that mean I don’t make a living out of it), I started taking photography a bit more seriously about 2 ½ years ago. Naturally (says who?), I began showcasing my work on social media, but in the process of doing so, I’d spammed my friends with random photos that had absolutely zero context.

So I decided to set up a blog and a separate Instagram account to showcase and share the stories behind my work.

It took me a while to decide on the name of my online persona: Watching You Make Coffee. Believe it or not, my real name rhymes with Watching You Make Coffee. I’d never noticed it until someone pointed it out to me around 2 ½ years ago, coincidentally around the same time I took photography a tad more seriously.

This blog has nothing to do with coffee although you occasionally may or may not come across photos of it.

What’s the story behind your name?

I used to wing it, but now I’m going to spread my wings!
We all need to eat. Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco (2015).
